The secret of life, though, is to fall seven times and to get up eight times.

— Paulo Coelho

Keyanna's a first-generation student currently pursuing her master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with an undergraduate background in Urban Planning. She is passionate about equitable systems and enjoys exploring how planning and engineering can work together to create stronger, more connected communities. Outside of academics, Keyanna loves staying active and can almost (always) be found listening to music. When not in class, she is probably playing bass guitar, spending time outdoors, going to concerts, playing pickleball, traveling, or attempting a new recipe and hoping for the best. The transition into graduate school can be challenging, but she's excited to help incoming students navigate the experience and feel more confident finding their place here at Tech. Her advice for incoming graduate students is to stay open to new opportunities, embrace challenges, and stay present!
