Current Georgia Tech undergraduate students who demonstrate an interest in and ability for additional education beyond the BS degree are encouraged to apply to one of their program's approved BS/MS Pathways.

For a complete list of all BS/MS programs and their admission requirements, visit the BS/MS Options section of the Georgia Tech Catalog.

Application Criteria

  1. Students must be in good academic standing and apply to an approved MS degree path.
  2. Applications for this option are typically submitted during the sophomore or junior year—first-year students are not encouraged to apply.
  3. The BS/MS Pathway is designed for continuous enrollment, meaning students are expected to begin their MS degree in the next available start term following completion of their BS degree.
  4. Successful admission to the MS degree is contingent upon the following:
    1. Meeting specific program criteria, which could include GPA requirements, coursework, or other program expectations.
    2. Approval of the Online Application for Graduation (OAG) for the BS degree. Please make sure you understand the steps for successfully submitting an OAG. The Degree Certification team in the Registrar’s Office will complete a final audit of your academic record to verify that your bachelor’s degree has been officially awarded. This verification must be finalized before you can matriculate into the master’s degree program.
  5. When submitting your application, you must select the term in which you will officially begin your MS degree studies. This is the term after which you have successfully earned your Bachelor’s degree.
