Born and raised in Philadelphia, Anna is a Ph.D. student in the History and Sociology of Science and Technology (HTS) program at Georgia Tech. Prior to her graduate studies, she earned B.A. in History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health at Yale University and was a full-time public high school teacher in China. Her research focuses on holistic medicine, specifically Traditional Chinese Medicine, and its role in urban social health movements. Outside of research, Anna loves crocheting, journaling, lifting, and building community. She is an avid coffee enthusiast and a barista, and she helps run Lotus Lens Collective, an Atlanta film club.
