The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.

— Albert Camus

After obtaining a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, a master’s degree from Cornell University, and a stint in the energy industry, Anirban is pursuing a Ph.D. where he uses machine learning algorithms to predict fluid dynamics phenomena. In his free time, he loves running, hiking, yoga, and the gym. He also loves exploring new cafes, progressive rock music, and is in a perpetual state of trying to get into reading philosophical non-fiction. His advice to incoming students is to strive for a good work-life balance (to avoid burning out), and to explore activities outside of classes and research.
