Jaden Anderson

Jaden Anderson is a Ph.D. student in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He was born in Alpharetta, Georgia and after a few moves, he is excited to return back to the Atlanta area! Jaden loves working to understand the mechanisms by which humans or bacteria use and metabolize chemicals, while also investigating how we can apply these findings for medical advances. During his undergraduate studies at MIT as a Chemistry and Biology major, he spent much time on Biochemistry research with Prof. Elizabeth Nolan, studying the uptake of siderophores in Salmonella. In addition, he took part in multiple international research projects through MIT’s exchange and internship programs: studying under Prof. Hector Koolen at Universidade do Estado do Amazonas and Dr. Anna Barnard at Imperial College London. These experiences furthered his passion for the field and care for the world.

Outside of his studies, Jaden enjoys exploring restaurants, reading books, and playing volleyball or dodgeball. He is looking forward to continuing Biochemistry research at Georgia Tech, while also becoming a part of the Stamps community in order to continue growing as a scholar, mentor, and community member.
