Originally from Pune, India, Hrishikesh N. Patil is a Ph.D. student in Bioinformatics in Georgia Tech's School of Biological Sciences. He earned his undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and now studies microbial genomics and infectious disease ecology, with a particular focus on antibiotic resistance and polymicrobial interactions. Hrishikesh aspires to become a leading research scientist in computational microbiology and contribute to data-driven advances in human health.
