Visionary Ventures: A Workshop on Planning Your Journey

This interactive workshop is designed to empower graduate students and recent graduate degree alumni to engage in meaningful career exploration and planning. Inspired by the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation's (PIN) at Georgia Tech’s SCALE Summit, this session will engage participants in developing ideas and goals for their short-term and long-term career and life planning, harnessing their own expertise and the expertise of peers.
Target Audience
Graduate students and recent degree holders from diverse academic backgrounds who are passionate about innovation, making a difference through social impact careers, and students interested in non-academic “industry” roles.
Learning Outcomes
Through facilitated breakout groups, participants will learn to blend the principles of design thinking with career development, and building social capital:
- Ideate Creative Solutions: Generate innovative ideas for through brainstorming and collaborative exercises.
- Leverage Mentorship: Connect with experienced professionals to gain guidance and support.
- Give Back Through Mentorship: Share their knowledge and expertise with others.
