A message from Kiera Tran and Donglai Yang, Graduate Student Government Association (Grad SGA) president and executive vice president.

We are thrilled to introduce the new Grad SGA leadership for 2025-2026: William Pavlick, the incoming Grad SGA president, and Jonathan Stevenson, the incoming Grad SGA executive vice president. They will be sworn in on April 18.

Pavlick is a 2nd-year Ph.D. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering currently serving as vice president of government affairs in Grad SGA. He has been assisting our graduate student body through providing information for students during the national presidential election and strongly advocating for more federal funding in our Atlantic Coast Conference advocacy trip at the Capitol.
Stevenson is a 3rd-year Ph.D. student in Biology who serves as a senator in our Graduate Student Senate. He has contributed brilliant insights to many matters that effect graduate students in this past year.

Together, we have no doubt that Pavlick and Stevenson are the best fit to take on these roles and responsibilities.

We would like to commend their willingness to serve others despite the challenges ahead. With their enthusiasm for graduate student well-being and their urge to engage proactively with the staff and faculty, we are adamant that they will bring about positive changes, and we look forward to a productive year ahead. With that, we invite you to start a conversation with them and discuss potential venues for collaboration.

We would also like to use this occasion to express our gratitude working with many of you! It has been an eventful and adventurous year. In amidst of constant change and uncertainty, we appreciate the unwavering support as we continued to advocate for our graduate students.

Always in services,

Kiera and Donglai
