When it comes to making a smooth transition to becoming a student at Georgia Tech, there are events, programs, and resources you'll want to take advantage of.
Spring 2020 Institute Graduate Orientation
In addition to the orientation that your individual program might hold (which you should attend), the Office of Graduate Studies hosts an orientation session in January to introduce you to campuswide resources and policies. Details for the Spring 2020 Institute Graduate Orientation are below.

Every August, we host the GradExpo resource fair to help new graduate students learn about campus services, student organizations, and local businesses in the surrounding community. Details related to the Fall 2020 GradExpo will be posted here in late spring.
We also coordinate an extended orientation program during the fall semester called "Grad Groups." If you're a new graduate student looking to meet other students from across campus, this program is perfect for you. Learn from an older graduate student about what it takes to be successful at Tech and get exposure to campus departments who are here to serve your needs.
Beginning in August 2018, Tech hosted its first Graduate Student Welcome for all new graduate students. The event includes a convocation followed by the Graduate Student Picnic. Details for the 2020 Grad Welcome will be posted here in late spring. More information can be found at specialevents.gatech.edu/graduate-student-welcome.
