On-campus Child Care Services

Georgia Tech’s on-campus childcare program is managed by Bright Horizons Family Solutions. The Children's Campus @ Georgia Tech (TCC) is located in graduate student housing. All GT students and employees receive a 10% tuition discount.

Family Support Services

Georgia Tech graduate students with children are eligible to opt-in for access to a suite of family support services offered through Bright Horizons. The Family Support Services program provides discounts for many services including tuition at partner childcare centers (outside of the Bright Horizons network), search tools for sitters, tutoring and enrichments programs, parenting resources and more.

Discounted MARTA Passes

Students can purchase monthly MARTA transit passes through Georgia Tech Parking and Transportation. The normal cost for a monthly transit pass is $68.50/month. The cost for students when purchased through Georgia Tech is reduced to $50/month.

Dining Dollars

Dining Dollars are sales tax exempt funds that can be used at all Tech Dining locations. Dining Dollars may be purchased in increments of $50, $200, $400, and $600. Customers who deposit $400 or $600 Dining Dollars receive an additional 10% in bonus Dining Dollars. Dining Dollars roll over from summer semester to fall, from fall semester to spring. Unused Dining Dollars will be forfeit at the end of each spring semester.

Student Health Insurance Plan Subsidy

Graduate students employed as Graduate Research Assistants (GRAs) and Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) qualify for the subsidized Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). The subsidy reduces the cost of this health insurance plan by roughly 76%. More information on the SHIP can be found on the Stamps Health Services website. The subsidized rates are published by the Bursar’s Office and are reflected in your student account via OSCAR.

The Georgia Tech Campus Closet is dedicated to relieving the financial stresses of day-to-day life. Our goal is to provide access to professional attire for any opportunity that you cross paths with. Rentals are free for Georgia Tech students, but you must return clothing after being dry-cleaned.

Green Goodbyes

Green Goodbyes is a free, second-hand store for Georgia Tech students. The store is located on the second floor of Barnes & Noble. All currently enrolled students are eligible to “shop” in Green Goodbyes. They must present their Buzz Card at checkout. The store is a great resource for clothing, home décor, household and kitchen items, and small furniture.
