The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that social connectedness can lead to longer life, better health, and improved well-being. But embracing a new country, a new culture, and possibly a new language can make it challenging to form connections. That's why the Center for Mental Health Care & Resources invites international students and their spouses to attend International Social Connections Meetings every Tuesday from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. starting Sept. 19. Meetings will be held in the Graduate Living Center Activity Room and refreshments will be provided. Contact Shiraz Karaa (shiraz.karaa@studentlife.gatech.edu) for more information.
