Who is exempt from this requirement?
- Non-U.S. Citizen students who will not be residing in the U.S. at any time while enrolled in classes at Georgia Tech are considered exempt.
- Any student who will be issued an F-1 or J-1 visa by Georgia Tech are also considered exempt from Lawful Presence. Instead those students will go through a different process called International Student Check-in. That process will be completed by the Office of International Education when the student arrives to campus.
