I have been admitted. How do I submit my official academic documents?

Applicants who attended an institution outside of the United States may be chosen to have a credential evaluation performed by one of our partner services. If you are chosen, you will be required to provide official academic documents according to their instructions. Our office will receive the documents from the service along with the completed credential evaluation. For this reason, you should not send official documents until you have received the verification email from Graduate Education. You will then be able to log into your application status portal to view any outstanding academic documents needed to complete your application.

If your school does not provide English translations of your documents, they must be translated by a professional translation service. There are many licensed translation companies available online.

When you receive your verification email from the Office of Graduate Education, please use the instructions below to submit your official documents.

There are three ways to submit your final, official documents to us. We do not accept official documents submitted any other way.

  1. Electronic transcripts sent directly from secure services such as Parchment, eScrip-SAFE, National Student ClearinghouseTrueCopy, OpenCerts, CSSD, and CDGDC. Electronic transcripts should be sent directly to transcripts@grad.gatech.edu. Anything sent or forwarded from the student is considered unofficial.
  2. Electronic transcripts emailed directly from your previous institution to transcripts@grad.gatech.edu.
  3. Hard copy/paper transcripts sent directly by your previous institutions via mail delivery service or sent by you in the original, unopened, school sealed envelope. Your full name must appear on the envelope along with your nine-digit Application Reference Number.

Please keep in mind that we do not send documents back to students.
