Volunteers Needed for Navy SeaPerch Event

Georgia Tech and Georgia State will co-host the 2017 National SeaPerch Challenge, one of the nations’ largest K-12 underwater robotics competitions, May 19-20, 2017. Middle and high school teams will compete and showcase their STEM skills at the Georgia Tech McCauley Aquatics Center in the Campus Recreation Center.

The event is hosted by co-partners Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) and the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) Foundation. Volunteers are needed for the following:  

  • Team registration
  • Helping teams
  • Pool judges
  • Presentation judges
  • Course break-down

  • Friday, May 19, 2017 – Georgia State University
  • Saturday, May 20, 2017 – Georgia Tech

Training will be provided for volunteers, and Verified Volunteers will send instructions for completing an USG12.9-compliant background check. GTRI will host a SeaPerch Lunch and Learn on April 21, 2017, at 250 14th St NW, Atlanta, GA from noon to 1 p.m. Register to attend: http://bit.ly/2o2QH5R
